The Next Phase Begins

Greetings fellow prayer warriors!

Caitlin will be going into the hospital on Wednesday to begin 5 days of intense chemo. She will be kept in a sterile, germ-free environment while undergoing this phase of treatment. The isolation will last for about 3 weeks. Janese suggested that we share scripture on the blog, and I love the idea. Her scriptures are:

Psalm 27 "One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple, For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling. He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock."

Philippians 4:19 "My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

I'd like to add Proverbs 3:1-8

My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,

2 for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you prosperity.

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.

Please keep Wayne, Cindy, Caitlin, and Miranda in your prayers extra time this week as they all enter this new phase. A great quote I saw said this: "Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase." God IS in control.
