We have a tremendous praise report for all of you. Caitlin had her toughest day of Chemo yesterday. We were told that she did not have any trouble and the doctors were amazed at her success. God intervened and made this day a lot different than it could have been. I have included this music video because I think that it speaks to how God has much greater things for all of us!! Please give thanks back to God for answered prayers. Thank you all again for what you do everyday.

The Next Phase Begins
Caitlin will be going into the hospital on Wednesday to begin 5 days of intense chemo. She will be kept in a sterile, germ-free environment while undergoing this phase of treatment. The isolation will last for about 3 weeks. Janese suggested that we share scripture on the blog, and I love the idea. Her scriptures are: Psalm 27 "One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple, For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling. He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock."
I'd like to add Proverbs 3:1-8
My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you prosperity.
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.
8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.
Please keep Wayne, Cindy, Caitlin, and Miranda in your prayers extra time this week as they all enter this new phase. A great quote I saw said this: "Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase." God IS in control.

October 23rd Update from Wayne
Well, everything is going as well as can be expected. Caitlin has come through the first phase of the treatment, the mobilization. Recall this is where they stimulate new blood cell production then pull out the stem cells to replace after chemo. It wasn’t fun, but no major mishaps. She had her stem cells removed on Monday. About 6 hours hooked up to the machine that circulates the blood and removes the stem cells (not painful at all, in fact she was quite bored.)
She will be going into the hospital on the 29th. This is when they will start the aggressive chemo, 5 times stronger than “normal”. She will be sequestered in a private room as she is extremely vulnerable. She can have visitors, but they have to be germ free! I can’t remember exactly, but it will be at least 3 weeks in the hospital. Cindy & I will take turns staying with her. This is when I will be taking Mondays & Fridays off…needless to say this will be the most stressful time for our family.
Our Miranda is doing very well considering she is stuck with Dad. Poor thing had to undergo oral surgery yesterday and ended up needing a bone graft (donated bone, not her own). So she is quite sore and needs to be real careful with her eye tooth for a month.
The good news: Caitlin is “free” until she goes to the hospital. She was able to move farther away from the hospital – went shopping, visited Cindy’s Grandma & Grandpa.

MercyMe (behind the music of Bring the rain
Check out the band's view on the power of this song. I think is is very real to all of us. I also posted the entire song below.
Caitlin Update October 19
In His Love, Janese
MercyMe - Bring The Rain
This is such a powerful song. I will be adding the "behind the music" next which gives a good view on how we all need to be toward God.
Update 10-19-08
Praise the Lord!
1) Caitlin has low energy but is not depleated.
2) The shots in her abdomen aren't very painful.
3) Grandma Ginny's house is a blessing being so close to the hospital for treatment.
4) Cindy and Caitlin and getting into a routine that is workable for both of them.
The next phase of treatment will be to have her stem cells removed form her blood and frozen. Her white blood cells can then start to climb back into the normal range. Her white blood count was 200 on Friday. A normal count is over 4,000. October 28th is the scheduled time for her stem cells to be reintroduced into a cancer free Caitlin! I am not a very technical kind of person so I hope that this lay man's version is close enough for all of us to be able to lift Caitlin up in specific targeted prayer.
Prayer needs:
1) The environment that surrounds Caitlin needs to be sterile. That includes people and family members. Cindy and Wayne will have to make some hard calls this week to keep Caitlin save. Pray for wisdom for all of them
2) Grandma Ginny needs to be upheld as her chemo treatment progresses.
Ryan has started a wonderful blog for us to use that will be more user friendly The site is if2ormore.blogspot.com He has easy to follow directions about how to become a subscriber. Then the blogspot will e-mail you with the updates. Now... I'm not sure how to get this update on the blogspot tonight and it is 11:00 P.M. Idaho time so can't call Ryan. It's a good thing no one is up reading this anyway! In His love, Jan

New Format
We thought that this might be a easier way to keep things moving along. If you have not participated in a blog before, here is a quick overview. Janese will post updates on the site and instead of her emailing them directly to you, the blog will do it once new content is added. All you have to do is enter your email address under the subscribe via email box. Once you verify your address, this will add you to the distribution list that will be sent out. The part that I like is that we can all give a quick comment of encouragement, insight etc that all of us can see. You can choose to be anonymous, or leave your name. I think that this will help us keep to the cause in a streamlined fashion.
Let us know if you have any questions.

Prayer Request- 10-15
Today, Wednesday, I really feel a kinship and burden for Cindy. As Caitlin's white blood count drops, Cindy is feeling a tremendous responsibility for keeping the home and environment germ free. She has a full size three ring binder of all the ins and outs, precautions and dangers of this treatment. I know Cindy's "mother-heart" is fully activated! My prayer for her would be to fully engage in a FAITH walk with the LORD. I pray that all of us will feel HIM walking right along side of us in all that we do today. He's there-it is just a matter of choice whether we recognize His presence. Thank you again for your heartfelt prayers of compassion. Have a wonderful day- Our God Reigns! Janese
Welcome
I hope that this new format can help all of us stay connected along with providing a way to encourage each other. Please feel free to comment or post anything that you feel God leads you to. I hope that this journey will both help those who are asking for prayer along with the team of dedicated "Prayer Warriors" Please also feel free to share this with anyone you know. Our hope is that it can be a tool to help share who God is.
