Cathy Schroeder's Mom

Just received a phone call that Cathy Schroeder's Mom is in the hospital. She is 97 and has had two heart attacks the last two days. She is fairly comfortable and Cathy and Cliff and Kristina are with her now. Pray for Cathy to have a window of time to comfort her Mom with the Good news of Jesus as her Savior. Maybe now she will respond when before she hasn't.

Angels on stage

Joyce Meyer aslo talked about angels that apppeared to an audience member. This man was not a believer but came with his wife to hear Joyce. When she walked out on stage, he noticed that she was surrounded by people who had on white clothes just like she did. He thought they were part of a choir. Then when Joyce went up to the podium to speak, these "choir" members made a semicircle around her and lifted their arms up with swords displayed. Joyce was told of this sighting (the angels apparently were only seen by this one man)and she feels that God is true to his word when He says that He will protect us from the Evil One. I'm sure that there are a lot of miracles that help us to "see" God. Thanks for the input, Ryan

Angels Among Us

Some of you might have seen this on the Today show this morning. Below is a summary of the story and link to the video.

A 14-year-old girl with a history of serious health issues lay dying of pneumonia in a hospital room. But as her mother waited for the girl to take her last breath (after deciding to take her off life support), an image of bright light appeared on a security monitor. Within an hour, the dying girl began a recovery that doctors are at a loss to explain.

I wanted to share this with the group as a reminder that we are not alone.

Need for Prayer

Hello Group,

I need your help. I learned last night that one of the kids with our youth group has a friend that was hit by a car (35+ MPH) a few weeks ago. He has been in a coma since then. I have it on my heart to get a group of people together and go to the hospital to pray for his recovery. I know that our prayer can help break him from his state. We are working with the family to see if they would be open to this.

I am asking that we pray for the following:

  • Pray that this 7th grader to recover.

  • I Pray that the family would be open to having our local team to be able to pray over him this weekend.

  • Pray that members of the youth group would want to come to the hospital and pray for his recovery.

  • Pray of the driver of the car and their family during this time

This is near to my heart because of the answered pray that we have seen with Caitlin. Several years ago during this same time, Payton was in Children’s hospital for a week and almost died. One of our pastors prayed over her and she instantly started to recover.

I believe that we can bring him back and Satan will not win. Please join me in lifting up this young boy.

Thank you for what you do. May God bless you all.

Our Prayers were answered!

We wanted this blog to be a record of prayer needs and answers to prayer. Today, our prayers have been answered with a wonderful cry of VICTORY! Caitlin's PET scan came back 100% cancer free! Praise God for His loving mercy. Now, Caitlin can begin to recouperate and start living life! . One of Caitlin's goals is to be with her horse, Girlie. A little further goal is to begin college life (again) at UC Davis. Thank you for being willing to be on your knees before God with the prayer requests that Caitlin and her family had.
For now, the crisis is over but our prayer life can still be vibrant. There are so many people in need of prayer. And God is doing so many wonderous things in our lives and for those around us. I encourage you to post a comment and let us know the prayer needs that you may have. I would like to hear from you!
